I'M DANA M. BELL.

MA, LPC, CISM.

I am a dedicated licensed professional counselor and personal development expert based in Michigan, specializing in helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, grief, low self-esteem, domestic violence trauma, and the unique pressures faced by collegiate and professional athletes. With a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health from Siena Heights University and a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University, I combine my academic background with decades of experience in the criminal justice system, including my role as a parole agent. This unique perspective provides me with a profound understanding of trauma, domestic violence, high-stress environments, and the challenges of transitioning through life’s critical moments—both on and off the field.

MY STORY

As an advocate for self-care, self-love, and self-confidence building, I am passionate about empowering individuals—including student-athletes and professional players—to make meaningful changes in their lives. I firmly believe that challenging circumstances are temporary, and that hope is always within reach. My approach is rooted in compassion, providing a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients can explore their pasts, navigate high-pressure situations, and learn to enjoy the present while creating a brighter future.

I am also a published author, having penned 30 Days of Hope, a devotional designed to help individuals navigate personal adversities through the transformative power of positive thinking and action. My online platform, www.letstalkwithdanabell.com, offers a wealth of resources and training for those seeking to overcome low self-esteem, embrace change, and cultivate an authentic life.

With expertise spanning trauma, addiction, anger management, mental health challenges, and the specific stressors faced by athletes, my interactive and person-centered approach encourages clients to actively engage in their personal development journeys. By emphasizing the importance of nurturing friendships, maintaining balance, and consistent self-care, I equip individuals with the tools they need to perform at their best, both personally and professionally.
